Mangaluru: Catholic Sabha Bondel honours meritorious students

Mangaluru, Sep 3: Catholic Sabha Bondel honoured 47 meritorious students of 2017-18 batch of SSLC, 2nd PUC and final year degree students on Sunday, September 2 at the Bondel Church hall. It also celebrated Professional Day, including teachers, doctors, nurses, government employees and businessmen of Bondel area.

The twin events were presided by Fr Andew Leo D’Souza, parish priest of Bondel. Walter D’Souza, founder of Catholic Sabha and entrepreneur was the chief guest. They stressed the need of education and participation of the younger generation in pan-India projects.



Lancy D’Cunha was felicitated at this programme on being re-elected as president of All India Catholic Union for a second term.

Fr Leo Veigas, spiritual director, Frasncis Viegas, secretary to parish council and Victor Corea, president, city vardo were present. Unit president Wilfred Alvares welcomed and Lynette Pinto, secretary, delivered the vote of thanks. Preeti D’Souza compered the programme.
