Bantwal, Aug 29: "In the municipal election here, BJP and SDPI will be fighting directly against each other. Congress will be relegated to third spot," said BJP district spokesperson, Harikrishna Bantwal.
He was addressing a press conference at the office of the party at B C Road on Tuesday August 28. He urged the voters to elect BJP to power to rid the municipality here of corruption. He also promised that if BJP comes to power here, all irregularities committed during the previous Congress rule would be probed.
MLA, U Rajesh Naik, president of BJP block committee, Devadas Shetty, municipal councillor, Govind Prabhu, former MLA, Padmanabha Kottary, and several others were present.
