Bengaluru, Aug 24: Mohammed Nalapad, son of Shantinagara MLA, N A Haris, who was in judicial custody and is now out on conditional bail relating to beating up the son of an industrialist, Vidwath, at a high end pub, has filed an application in the high court seeking permission to fly to London.

The application came before a single judge bench presided over by Justice John Michael D'Cunha on Thursday August 23. Lawyers representing the prosecution sought time to file objections to the application. The bench upheld their request and adjourned the hearing after giving time for filing objections.

Nalapad, who was in jail for long after a case was filed relating to the above incident, had succeeded in securing conditional bail. One of the conditions of the bail is that he should not leave the country without the court's prior permission. In his application, Nalapad has claimed that his younger brother lives in London and he plans to leave the country for 15 days from August 25 onward to meet his younger brother. He has requested the court to give him concession from the bail terms to enable him to visit London.
