Bantwal: ICYM collects generous contributions from parishioners for flood affected Kerala, Kodagu

Bantwal, Aug 22: ICYM here took on the initiative to collect contributions from the parishioners here under the K to K project of ICYM Central Council.

This event was coordinated by the ICYM president Avinash Jeevan D’Souza and secretary Annet Carol D'Souza with the help of other ICYM members.

On August 19, contributions in the form of money and other items were collected by the unit members from the parishioners who generously donated funds which exceeded Rs one lac. Other things collected included rice, clothes, water cans, packet food items and medicinal kits. Money was also collected by donation boxes placed outside
the church.



The response received from the parishioners was on a massive scale which was highly appreciated by the parishioners and parish priest. Later, all other units of the Bantwal deanery brought their collection to Bantwal unit and transported to Mangaluru ICYM office in two trucks.

Youth of ICYM Bantwal actively participated by staying back at the church from morning to evening to collect all the relief material.
