Kundapur: Cash, silver ornaments stolen from deserted house

Kundapur, Jul 26: Thieves who got to know of a particular house that was desolate, stole cash and valuables from it on the late night of Tuesday July 24. This incident is reported from a house near Moodlakatte railway station under Kandavar village limits near here.

The house belongs to Vedavati Sheregar and she reportedly lives with her son, who is living at Bengaluru. She used to rarely visit her home. The incident came to light when the postman visited the house to deliver a letter. The postman immediately alerted the people in the neighbouring house, who in turn informed the same to Kandloor police station.



Kandloor police visited the house with sniffer dogs and fingerprint experts and investigated the issue. It is estimated that Rs 15,000 in cash and silver of the same worth is stolen from the house. A case is registered at Kandloor police station.
