Mangaluru, Jan 14: St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore, in collaboration with the Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK), organized - Agnes scholars -staff engagement programme as part of its Ignite U project. Marjorie Texeira, vice president CASK, and alumna of the college inaugurated the session. Dr Rohan Monis and professor Paul Aquinas, vice presidents, CASK were present.
The event focused on equipping educators to become ambassadors of excellence through quality teaching, research, and experiential learning.
Ronald Mendonca, principal consultant and coach at Smart Solutions, Mangaluru, served as the resource person for the programme. He provided practical advice for educators on fostering better communication and relationships with students. He shared valuable insights on enhancing one's presence on social media platforms.
The session emphasized how educators could build a personal brand by leveraging their teaching quality, research experience, and ability to provide impactful experiential learning to students. Mendonca highlighted storytelling as a powerful tool to engage students and create meaningful connections.
The programme saw the active participation of all faculty members. It was an interactive session that inspired educators to redefine their roles as ambassadors of excellence in education.
