Mangaluru: Catholic Action League Bendore educates youth on 'Friendship'

Mangaluru, Jul 25: Catholic Action League (CAL), Bendore recently organised a talk on 'Friendship' for the YCS and CAL unit members.

Crystal Lasrado, president, CAL Bendore unit welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person of the session - Fr Roque Dsa. Fr Anil Pinto – CAL, assistant director, Fr Rohan Dias – YCS, assistant director, YCS animators Anitha Frank, Vinod Dsouza and Leon Loyd Saldanha, Nihal Rego – president, YCS Bendur unit were present at the programme.



Fr Roque Dsa delivered a meaningful and motivational session on 'what is friendship? choosing friends, what misleads youth, steps to overcome failures in life. YCS and CAL Bendore unit members gained lot of inputs on friendship. Steffy Veigas - unit secretary, CAL Bendore delivered the vote of thanks.

    Friendship is a gift of it's own. Friendship needs little effort and little money. Some times, money is not as important as effort. Friendship needs willingness to coordinate and cooperate with each other and make many things possible. Our young men and women need the gift of friendship in order to communicate with each other and create an opportunity to help each other. Friendship can create miracles. Friendship is a stepping stone of our life that will allow us to meet one another and get to know each other. These are considered to be the tiny elements of our life where friendship begins.

    Friendship can begin with a mere smile that will permit us to create a mere eye contact in order to begin a dialog. Friendship will help us to remove so many other barriers in life and enable us to negotiate on any issue howsoever small or big.

    We are so pleased that the Catholic Group is helping out the youth to learn the value of friendship. We wish them best of luck in all their endeavors that will go a long way in motivating the youth to follow the right pathway of life that will lead them to the height of success. God bless.
