UAE KNRI Forum meets CM Siddaramaiah; urges Kannadiga NRIs to apply for NRK cards

Dubai/Bengaluru, Mar 3: UAE Karnataka NRI delegates led by Praveen Kumar Shetty, founder president of UAE KNRI Forum met Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday March 2 in Bengaluru to discuss various issues related to NRIs of Karnataka origin residing in the UAE.

The delegation submitted a memorandum covering the issues and problems faced by Kannadiga NRIs in the UAE.

The chief minister accepted the memorandum and extended his full support.

The CM personally invited the UAE KNRI Forum team to attend the KNRI card distribution programme which will be announced shortly.

Apart from Praveen Shetty, the delegation comprised James Mendonca, Joseph Mathias, Sadan Das, Deepak Somashekara, Naseer A K and Saleem Altaf.


KNRI Forum has requested all UAE NRIs from Karnataka to register for NRK (non-resident Kannadiga) cards by following these steps:

Register online on nriforum.karnataka.gov.in to get NRK card through which NRKs can avail a host of benefits ranging from free insurance to various health packages.

    Very poor interface to register .. We expect some professionalism in the online system..
    Not at all easy to register for common people...

    Please improve the system..
