Bengaluru: National Library Week Celebrated at Alliance University

Bengaluru, Nov 18: Alliance University Central Library celebrated National Library Week on November with a special event that highlighted the importance of libraries in fostering education, knowledge, and intellectual growth. The celebration was a part of the national observance of Library Week during November 14-20 every year, which aims to raise awareness about the vital role libraries play in the academic and cultural development of society.

The event was inaugurated by Prakash S Budur pro vice chancellor (banking, finance, development & new initiatives), a distinguished guest, and Dr Vishwanathiah, the registrar of Alliance University, who were the key figures of the celebration. Their presence added a special significance to the occasion, underscoring the university’s commitment to promoting reading, learning, and intellectual engagement.

During this National Library Week, the Central Library organized a series of activities aimed at raising awareness among students, faculty, and staff about the library's facilities, services, and its vital role in academic success. These activities were designed to highlight the library's contributions to research, learning, and community engagement, and to encourage greater utilization of its resources.
