Mangaluru, Feb 25: St Agnes College, department of journalism and mass communication is organising ‘Chitrabani’, a short film screening and discussion on February 26 at A2 in the college premises, at 3 pm.
Short films from eminent directors from Iran, Belgium, Sweden, USA, France and India will be screened at the event.
Associate director of 'Harikatha Prasanga' and script writer, B A Samvartha will be the resource person and will lead the discussion after the film screening.
"Like the name of the event 'Chirtabani', where 'Chitra' means picture or film and 'Bani' means sound or talk, the event intends to engage the audience in discussions after they watch the films. We are screening nine international and national short films that highlight various issues such as political, gender, human interest etc, " says Laxmi Shenoy, head of the department of journalism and mass communication of the college.
The event is free and open to the public.
