Sikar, Apr 20: A horrifying incident has come to light in Rajasthan’s Sikar district where a 19-year-old Dalit youth has alleged that he was raped, brutally assaulted, and humiliated by two men belonging to the Jat community.

According to police, the incident took place on April 8 but was reported on April 16, when the survivor filed a complaint. He stated that the accused hurled casteist slurs at him during a wedding procession, saying they intended to kill his father but targeted him as his father was abroad.

The survivor alleged that the two men then forced him to strip, raped him, recorded the act on video, beat him with rods and sticks, and urinated on him.

Following the complaint, a case has been filed under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly, Tikaram Jully, condemned the incident, saying, “Atrocities against Dalits are rising under the BJP government, and this incident from Sikar has crossed every limit.”

Reacting to the incident, BJP spokesperson Laxmikant Bharadwaj assured strict action, stating, “The government will ensure a fair investigation and the accused will face stringent punishment.”
