Mumbai, April 11: Harshita Saxena on Friday surrendered her Miss India Earth title, paving way for Tanvi Vyas, who has been crowned the new Pantaloons Femina Miss India Earth 2008. Tanvi will now be representing India in the pageant internationally.
Harshita, who was the third runner-up at the Miss India event held last week, has given up her pageant in view of the allegations raised by Gladrags officials.

At a press conference in Mumbai, President of Gladrags Beauty Pageants, Maureen Wadia, said that Harshita is a model from her company and is presently in a contract with them.
Maureen claimed that Harshita had no authority to participate in any other beauty contest, without permission.
Threatening a legal action against the model, Maureen said, "She was a part of my Megamodel Contract in April 2006, which has not expired as yet. The contract statement strictly restricts the models from taking part in such a contest, without permission".
