Mangaluru, Jul 26: A policeman breathed his last due to jaundice on Monday July 25.
Bharath (42) is the deceased. He was working as head constable at Panambur police station.
Bharath was admitted to a private hospital on July 8 due to jaundice. After necessary treatment, he was discharged and was taking treatment from home. On Sunday July 24 night, he complained about pain and his colleagues from NMPT quarters took him to hospital and got him admitted there. But as his kidneys, intestine and brain were affected, he did not respond to treatment.
Bharath had joined police service in 1996. He had worked as constable in Kadaba, Bajpe and Kavoor police stations before getting promoted as head constable in 2015 at Panambur.
Bharath is survived by wife, a son and a daughter.
