If I was in her position I would have done the same. As a Anganvadi teacher how much I can earn? How can I take care of two daughters along with house rent, school fees and all other expenses. Neither I can ask financial or mental support from others... society or government are least bothered... moreover protecting girl children without male support is also difficult...It's bitter truth of the society. Family and friends show sympathy for a week later they all forget and get busy in their day today task...

It's bitter truth... I know a Divorcee who is having a girl child. She struggles a lot to survive. She can't work on regular basis since every now and then she needs to take leave due to school parent meeting or child falling sick so she lost her job. she can't pay her house rent. Moreover no one is ready to give her rented house. She is not eligible for any government benefits as well.

Glad Dubai ,dear one side you are right.Other side what will these innocent two girls do without Parents? Should I give you a example? Our father was in Mumbai ,never bothered about us ,mother went for daily wages , gave us education, even as my sister expired with sudden illness She never asked where is our girl when he came home? Borrowed money from everyone and went back. Mother had to pay back in 60s. It was hard. Rest I need not explain. So this lady could have looked after the children by hard working. Many ladies loose their Partner but once children are there, you have a responsibility towards them. Sad but without both parents still hard. Heartfelt sympathies to these innocent girls. May God take care of them. May the soul of this lady rest in peace.

Unfortunate circumstances. You never know what is written in your future. As a (catholic and) law abided citizen you have no right to suicide. It is written in the Holy Bible as well. I agree hard times, but no choice. Now 2 daughters are orphans. so sad. RIP. God Bless.

We have a broken society. We are mostly worried about storing weath, cheap fun like 'Challenge' and showing off. Our institutions are broken too. We must fix or perish.

Why don't they think about the fate of their children after the death of the parents? a mother should not have taken this extreme step leaving behind poor kids.
