Los Angeles, Sep 2 (IANS): Actor Scott Eastwood will star in “Overdrive”, an action project which centres on two car thieves, brothers, who travel to the south of France for new opportunities and wind up in the crosshairs of the local crime boss.
The project is being produced by “Taken” director Pierre Morel and Christopher Tuffin, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
Antonio Negret, who helmed the Jim Caviezel action film “Transit”, is directing the film.
The project has been in development since 2011. At one point, Alex Pettyfer and Matthew Goode were attached to it, while another version saw Jamie Bell and Garrett Hedlund.
Scott, son of legendary actor-filmmaker Clint Eastwood, is emerging into his own as an actor. He earlier wrapped shooting for “Suicide Squad”, that centres around DC Comics' villains.
He can also be seen opposite Taylor Swift in the pop star’s latest video, "Wildest Dreams", which has already racked up over 10 million views since its debut on Sunday night.
