Udupi: Eleven Capuchin deacons to be ordained to priesthood

Udupi, Apr 17: Eleven Capuchin Deacons of Holy Trinity Capuchin Province – Karnataka will be ordained to the order of priesthood during the next week from the diocese of Mangalore, Udupi and Chikkamagaluru.

Deacons Walter D'Souza, Praveen D'Souza, Preetham Mendonca, Prakash Colaco and Ravi Rajesh Serrao will be ordained to the order of priesthood on Thursday, April 23 at Mount Rosary Church, Kallianpur, Udupi, by Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop of Udupi.

Deacons Salvadore D’Cunha, Andrew Jayaraj, Amar Anthony Lobo, Naveen Sequeira and Paul Mascarenhas will be ordained on Wednesday, April 29 at Our Lady of Perpetual Succor Church Koppa, Chikkamagaluru by Dr T Anthony Swamy, bishop of Chikkamagaluru.

Deacon Frolic Fernandes will be ordained to the order of priesthood on Saturday, May 2 at his native parish, St Lawrence Church, Moodubelle, Udupi, by Dr Albert D’Souza, Archbishop of Agra.

The ordination at Mount Rosary Church, Kallianpur will be webcast live on daijiworld.com from 3 pm on April 23.

    Congratulations ! all eleven capuchin deacons who will be soon priests of God and people. Wah! Very nice to see them after years of training to become priests. Hats up to them to take up this great decision to serve in the vineyard of the Lord. I am specially proud that after many years A capuchin priest Br. Prakash Melwyn Colaco will be ordained from my parish Udyavara. Great news. May God bless Him & all the other Bothers. May the Holy spirit guide them to work with dedication, courage, and love. WISH All of you a happy and blessed priestly life. May their parents be blessed abundantly.
