Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (RJP)
Bantwal, Apr 9: In a filmy style situation, police interrogated police here on Wednesday, April 8. But both the parties belonged to different states.
As per details available, police from Kerala wanted to conduct some necessary enquiry in Bantwal. Hence they came to a famous jewellery shop and said that they wanted their employee named Vinayaka for some enquiry. The Kerala police took Vinayaka with them and later in few minutes they dropped him back.
The Kerala police had come in a hired vehicle and they were not wearing uniforms. The management of the jewellery shop grew suspicious and informed the Bantwal police probably with the fear that the group could be a gang of thieves with a conspiracy to loot the shop.
Bantwal police swung into action immediately and managed to find and stop the vehicle of the policemen from Kerala and brought them to the police station.
After some initial interrogation the Bantwal police came to know that the plain clothed persons who came in a hired vehicle were not fake policemen, but the genuine one like them. The Kerala police genuinely produced their identity cards and other records to prove this.
It is custom to inform the local police station whenever the police of other places visit the places outside their jurisdiction for the work related to their department. It is a must in outside state cases especially. But the Kerala police had forgotten to do so.
All was well. Kerala police went back after exchanging some pleasantries.
