Puttur, Jun 8: Rains have hindered the search and rescue operation for the 3 engineers from Bangalore who had gone for trekking in the forest areas of Kempuhole near Shiradi. The trekkers Tejamurthy (35), Vasant Kumar (28) and Bhaskar Babu (28) went missing on May 28.

Following this search operations were launched by the police. But the rains have hindered the operation. Police dogs were suggested to be used for the search operation, but were withdrawn as it rained in the region.

Inspite of these hostile conditions, the search teams are still working round the clock to trace the missing trekkers. Both police and forest department officials from Hassan division have been involved in the search operation.
