Tempo falls into gorge, driver suffers minor injuries

Bantwal, Nov 30: An Eicher tempo transporting milk felt into a gorge while taking reverse near a petrol pump at Bantwal by-pass here on Friday November 29. The incident took place around 12:30 pm.

As per the information obtained, the milk van was parked at the spot.

At around 12:30 pm, driver Narayan (42) started the van and while taking reverse, the gear got jammed and as a result, it rolled down into the gorge.

The driver is said to have escaped with minor injuries. The truck was damaged as it felt from quite a height.

Bantwal town police visited the spot and registered a case.
