Mangaluru, Jan 1: The city welcomed New Year 2025 with vibrant celebrations, dazzling lights, and jubilant gatherings across homes, hotels, and clubs. Adding a unique touch to the festivities, the Mangaluru city police joined the revelry with a heartwarming gesture, spreading joy among the public.

In an unusual yet delightful move, traffic police marked the New Year by cutting a cake near Circuit House at the stroke of midnight on Wednesday, January 1. The celebration, attended by traffic ACP Nazma Farooqi, symbolized goodwill and camaraderie between the police and the public.

Breaking away from their routine duty of monitoring traffic violations, the police distributed cake to motorists and pedestrians, creating a moment of connection and festivity. The gesture was well-received, highlighting the police's commitment to fostering a positive relationship with the community.

The entire city was alive with music, dance, and cheerful greetings as Mangalureans ushered in the New Year with hope and enthusiasm. The joyful atmosphere, enhanced by the police's thoughtful act, set the tone for a harmonious and prosperous 2025.
