Mangalore, Aug 24: In a request for his salary by an employee, a JDS leader attacked a man and also threatened his life. The incident took place at Natekal, in Konaje police station limits.
Hanif Sakhafi, a teacher at Thible Madrasa from Natekal was attacked by the leader.
Hanif who was working as a teacher for the past three years, submitted his resignation at work recently. But even after the submission, he worked for a couple of days during the month of Ramadan.
On Friday August 23, Haneef went to Madrasa president Mohammed Tamzeen and asked him for his pay to which he was refused as his boss was unable to pay. In return, Haneef argued that he has right to ask for salary as he had worked.
Later in the afternoon, Madrasa president’s brother, JDS leader Aboobakkar Natekal called Musliyar Hanif's’s brother Hameed Sakafi and asked him to inform his brother Hanif to come to his house.
Hanif was on his bike towards another Madrasa in the evening, was intervened by Aboobakkar’s car. When Aboobakkar and his son got down from the car to hit him, Haneef tried to escape from the place.
Aboobakkar chased him in his car and intervened his bike after which he attacked him, making him critically injured. He also warned him to bury alive if he keeps a demand of salary again.
Victim Musliyar is admitted a private hospital in Deralakatte and a case has been registered at Konaje police station.
