Udupi: District Nagarika Samiti Stages Unique Protest Against Petrol Price Hike

Udupi, May 24: The district Nagarika Samiti led by its president Nityanand Olakadu, staged a unique protest opposing the hike in prices of petrol by UPA-led union government on Thursday May 24.

The activists of district Nagarika Samiti staged a unique protest by pushing two-wheelers from Diana Circle and later carried the two-wheelers from Clock Tower accompanied by the music of traditional drummers. 

Addressing the large gathering of protesters, Olakadu said that the prices of petrol have been hiked several times by the UPA-led central government.  He said that the common man is finding it extremely difficult to live on and demanded that prices be reversed at the earliest.
