Mangaluru: Two-day art festival ‘Kala Parba’ to be held at Kadri Park on Jan 11- 12

Mangaluru, Jan 10: The two-day art festival, Kala Parba, will be held at Kadri Park on Friday, January 11 and 12, organized by the Sharadhi Prathistana Trust.

More than 110 stalls will be set up at Kala Parba, showcasing various forms of art from artists across Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Kasargod. The festival will serve as a platform for artists to display their works to a wider audience.

The event will be inaugurated by speaker UT Khader, Mayor Manoj Kumar, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Bharath Y Shetty, deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan, and Lanchulal KS, Owner of Astra Group, among other dignitaries.

The festival will feature a variety of events, including:

  • Yoga sessions
  • A musical performance by Ankush Nayak
  • A drawing competition for children
  • A Siddi Damami dance performance by Pannika Siddi and her team from the Siddi community
  • Makeup and Mehendi competitions, and much more.

Alongside the exhibitions, the artwork will also be available for sale. Artist Veena Aithal will showcase her Rangoli art.

Environmentalists Dinesh Holla, Ganesh Somayaji, Punik Shetty, Koti Prasad Alva, Ramesh Nayak, and others were present at the event’s announcement.
