Egyptian Foreign Minister and Fatah delegation discuss Gaza developments

Cairo, Jan 10: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held discussions with a visiting delegation from the Palestinian Fatah movement regarding recent developments in Gaza and the urgent need for a ceasefire. The meeting took place on Thursday, focusing on the security and humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

The Fatah delegation, led by Azzam al-Ahmad and Ahmad Majdalani, members of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Fatah central committee, expressed gratitude for Egypt's efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause. They highlighted the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the necessity of Palestinian unity.

Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s steadfast support for the Palestinian Authority and its rejection of any displacement plans for Palestinians. He stressed Egypt's commitment to facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid and fostering a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

This meeting is part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to mediate between Palestinian factions and Israel, in hopes of achieving a lasting ceasefire and peace.
