Sullia, Apr 26: In an incident that has caused public outrage in Sullia town, an unidentified man was caught on CCTV dumping waste onto the sunshade of a house in Kurunjibhag. The shocking act of public nuisance has led to complaints being filed with the Sullia Police Station and the Town Panchayat.
According to sources, the incident came to light after a foul smell began to emanate near the house, prompting the residents to check the surroundings. Upon inspection, they found waste dumped on the sunshade above the window. The incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed at the residence.

The footage revealed that a person, suspected to be one of the labourers involved in ongoing water pipeline works in the Kurunjibhag area, was seen carrying a bag of waste and deliberately throwing it onto the house’s sunshade.
The homeowner lodged a complaint with the Sullia Police, and the CCTV visuals have also been submitted to the Sullia Town Panchayat. However, locals have alleged that no action has been taken yet despite clear evidence from the surveillance footage.
Residents have expressed concern over the lack of accountability and urged the authorities to act swiftly against those who tarnish public hygiene and safety. The police are said to be investigating the matter.
