Mangaluru, April 25: Mescom (Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd) has announced scheduled power outages across several areas due to urgent maintenance work on various feeders and substations. The affected areas will experience power disruptions on April 26 and 27, with the outages scheduled to last for several hours.
On April 26, due to emergency maintenance work on the 1182 Market Feeder from Nehru Maidan Substation, power supply will be interrupted in the following areas: Central Market, Jewellery Road, GHS Road, Balambhat Road, and surrounding areas. The outage will occur from 9:30 am to 5 pm.
Similarly, on April 27, the 110/11 kV Baikampadi Electricity distribution centre will also undergo urgent maintenance. As a result, the 11 kV BPCL feeder, which supplies power to industries and businesses, will be affected. Areas like Elite Engineering, Marine Food, Deal Well, GAR Stone, Asho Quick Industries, United Beverages, Kakkunje Plastic, Kuber Industries, Accurate, Abhay Marbles, and surrounding regions will face power cuts from 9 am to 4 pm.
In another development, urgent maintenance work on the 11 kV Lalbagh Feeder from Mannagudde Substation will cause a power outage on April 26. Areas including Mannagudde Hindi Prachar Samiti, Lalbagh, Brahmashree Narayan Guru Circle, and surrounding regions will experience power cuts from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
On the same day, Moodubidire Electricity Substation will also see maintenance work on its 11 kV Beluwai, Aliyuru, and Shirthadi Feeders. Affected areas include Kan, Kalloli, Nadigudde, Kanthavar Cross, Beluwai, Bannadka, Kayar Katte, Azad Nagar, Karyanangadi, Malebettu, Manjanakatte, Kayade, Kesargadde, Pelakunje, Moodaikadu, Beluwai Church, Irvathur Cross, Gundukallu, Moodumarnadu, Kelleputtige Daregudde, Arasukatte, Panapila, Aliyuru, and surrounding areas. The power outage is scheduled from 9:30 am to 6 pm on April 26.
These outages are a part of Mescom's ongoing efforts to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the power distribution infrastructure. The public is advised to make alternate arrangements and stay updated on the status of these disruptions.
