Moodbidri, Apr 4: A grand and heartfelt welcome was given to the Bhakti Ratha at Moodu Bidere Shri Jain Math on Friday, April 4.

The Ratha, which carried the divine idols of Lord Rama, Sita, Hanuman, and Madhvacharya, was greeted with utmost devotion by the esteemed Jagadguru Dr Swastishree Charukeerti Bhattarakar Panditacharyavarya Mahaswami of the Jain Math.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the arati lamps, followed by the offering of fruits and other symbolic items to the revered deities.

The ratha procession was entrusted to Krishna Raj Kutpadi and Venuur Shashank Bhatt, who, under the guidance of Poojya Pejawar Swamiji, also invited devotees to attend the Sant Samavesha (Saint Congregation) that will take place on April 13 at Pernankila.

The event witnessed participation from several distinguished figures, including Sudarshan, Sripathi Bhatt, Patna Shetty, Sudesh Kumar, and Sanjayant Kumar Shetty. The organisers, Raghavendra Bhandarkar, Praveen, and Kunita Bhajane, along with the crowd, chanted "Jay Ghoshane" in unison, adding to the vibrancy of the ceremony.

After the devotional rituals, the Ratha proceeded on its journey through Jainpete, Swastishree College, and Badag Basadi Road. The procession ultimately headed towards Bilkodal, continuing its journey amidst cheers and prayers from the gathered devotees.
