Beltangady, Apr 3: The sports summer camp was inaugurated with enthusiasm and excitement at Holy Redeemer English Medium school on April 1.

Inaugural ceremony began by invoking God's grace for the success of the camp. Student Manvi of class 8 welcomed the gathering. Summer camp was inaugurated innovatively.

Coaches who train the students in various events like kabaddi, handball, volleyball, throwball, shuttle badminton and chess were presented with their respective sport items while they were introduced.

Headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto gave an overview of the summer camp. Correspondent Fr Walter DMello wished the students well and encouraged them to undergo training with a true sportsman spirit and get benefits.

Eagerness and excitement of the students to undergo training and enjoy the camp were very evident.

Physical education teacher Girish made all arrangements of the camp with the support of all staff members.

Student Ashel D'Souza of class 9 proposed the vote of thanks and Suzanna Serrao of class 8 compered the event.
