Lourdes Central School hosts successful two-day Scouts & Guides Pratham Sopan testing camp

Mangaluru, Apr 3: A two-day Scout & Guide camp was held at Lourdes Central School, Bejai, Mangaluru, on April 1 and 2. A total of 30 campers along with three teachers, participated in the camp.

The camp commenced with an inaugural ceremony where Fr Johnson L Sequeira, principal, hoisted the flag and wished the students a fruitful and enriching experience. The participants were then divided into groups for various activities, including scarf folding, learning different types of knots and engaging in recreational games. The students were enthusiastic and eager to take part in the summer camp.

The second day began with a session on BP Six Exercises conducted by the teachers. An all-faith prayer session was organized, fostering a spirit of unity and respect. Students also learned about traffic signals and their significance in daily life.

Later, a test was conducted for the students for their Pratham Sopan testing camp. The highlight of the camp was the exciting campfire in the evening, where students participated in various cultural performances, showcasing their talents and creativity.

The camp concluded with a closing ceremony. Principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira, distributed badges and certificates to the students. In his address, he appreciated their active participation and extended his gratitude to the teachers and parents for their support. The camp successfully concluded, leaving students with cherished memories and valuable learnings.
