Patna, Mar 13: Bihar deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has vowed stringent action against illegal mining operations, asserting that the state government is committed to eradicating the 'mafia raj' prevailing in the mining sector.

Speaking to reporters, Sinha emphasized that the government will take decisive measures to curb unlawful activities and ensure transparency in the mining department. "No one involved in illegal mining will be spared. The administration is working on a robust strategy to dismantle the mafia network and streamline operations," he stated.

The minister also highlighted plans to introduce stricter regulations and deploy advanced surveillance systems to monitor mining activities. "We will enforce accountability at every level, ensuring that legal miners do not face unnecessary hurdles while cracking down on those who exploit the system for personal gain," he added.

Sinha reiterated the government's commitment to promoting sustainable and lawful mining practices, urging officials to act without bias in implementing reforms.
