Moodbidri, Mar 12: Carmel School celebrated World Thinking Day on January 6 highlighting the values of leadership service and awareness. The event focused on the importance of responsible thinking and action inspired by the scouting and guiding movement.
The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting on the ground by the Scouts and Guides symbolizing unity and discipline. The stage program was skilfully hosted by Riona Pearl and Adithi ensuring an engaging and smooth flow of events.

The Guide students led the prayer followed by the lighting of the lamp by all dignitaries representing the spread of knowledge and enlightenment. Ayush then delivered an insightful speech on the significance of World Thinking Day emphasizing its role in promoting meaningful thoughts and actions.
A warm welcome speech was given by Angel and Jenisha after which the guide students presented a graceful dance performance showcasing harmony and teamwork. The Cubs staged a skit promoting a cleaner and greener world reinforcing environmental consciousness among students.
A thought-provoking mime show by the scouts depicted the effects of mobile phones and social media making the audience reflect on responsible digital behaviour.
The event was graced by chief guest sir Naveen A Hindi educator at Excellent School and Wood Badge Holder in Scouts. In his speech, he emphasized the need for scouting highlighting how it nurtures discipline, leadership, a spirit of service and respect in young individuals.
Adding to the inspiration, vice principal Sr Preena AC shared words of wisdom reinforcing the Scouting motto: ‘Do your best and always be ready for any service.’
The formal programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mohammed Abeer expressing gratitude to all contributors.
Following this, Naveen conducted an engaging session imparting life skills on self-sufficiency and discussing the legacy of Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouts whose birthday is honoured on World Thinking Day. To keep the enthusiasm high he led the students in a lively action song making learning fun and memorable.
The World Thinking Day celebration at Carmel School was a remarkable blend of awareness, leadership and teamwork inspiring students to think wisely, act responsibly and serve selflessly.
