Mangaluru: Srinivas University holds Institutions Graduation Day

Mangaluru, Feb 15: The Graduation Day of Srinivas Group of Institutions was held at Srinivas University Mukka campus on Saturday, February 15.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest of the programme, chairman of Expert Educational & Charitable Foundation, Mangaluru, Prof Narendra L Nayak congratulated all the graduates, achievers and their parents. He said, "everyone should possess prefix and suffix in their name which represent their academic and professional qualification."

"Days have gone where only talent is needed, it’s more important to have powers and contacts to serve the society, hence let more number of bureaucrats come from Srinivas University," he said. Prof Nayak said that Srinivas University is offering academic programmes in all the fields & specialisations that are very much essential and required in the present and future days. He also said that self-discipline is very much required, be a good human and study continuously to excel in the professional career.

Honourable chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao in his presidential address advised the graduates to enrich their subject knowledge and love their profession. "World is an open platform, try to achieve the high positions in life. Be a master in the field of specialisation. Hence, keep update the knowledge and skills. Try to be an ideapreneur and entrepreneur. Dream big in life," he said.

He advised the graduates to adopt commonsense and humanity in life, respect others in the society, be friendly with everyone, and that will help in enriching the leadership abilities and skills.

Guest of honour, honourable pro chancellor of Srinivas University, vice president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru, Dr A Srinivas Rao said that there is no substitute for hard work to get success. "Present era is depending upon Artificial Intelligence. Application of Artificial Intelligence is extended in all the fields. Enrich the knowledge. Multi-tasking is the order of the day, hence at Srinivas University focus is given for the study of Medicine, Engineering and Allied Health Sciences," he said.

The oath was administered by Srinivas University Board of governor’s trustee member, Prof Er A Mithra S Rao. She said that graduates should work well so that they should bring good name to the institution and to their parents.

During the graduation a total of 1187 graduates received their certificates. Srinivas University registrar of evaluation Dr Shrinivas Mayya D welcomed the gathering, and Srinivas College of Pharmacy principal Dr Ramakrishna Shabaraya delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Ambika Mallya, Dr Vijayalakshmi Nayak, and Prof Rohan Fernandes, Dr Shwetha Pai and Dr Padma Prabhu compered the event.
