Mangaluru: Srinivas University SIMS & RC organises MBBS batch orientation programme

Mangaluru, Oct 30: Srinivas University, Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (SIMS & RC) organised the MBBS batch orientation programme on October 24, at the Mukka campus.

Dignitaries with the blessings of the Srinivas University chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao inaugurated the programme.

Srinivas University pro-chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao said, "MBBS is the noble course students choose, and this is the biggest journey. He also told students to love the subject and to get the knowledge. He said, "Don't study for exams, study for the knowledge purpose."

Srinivas University board of governors trustee member, A Vijayalakshmi R Rao blessed students and suggested students treat their patients with smiles.

Srinivas University board of governors trustee member, Prof A Mitra S Rao threw light on various aspects of the medical field and said, "We are not just human beings, we are social beings - so we have to build a good company with doctors too. Live life with happiness, and be an integrity of life. Treatment should speak about the person, not the egoistic attitude."

Srinivas University vice chancellor Dr K Sathyanarayana Reddy, Srinivas University registrar Dr Anil Kumar, evaluation registrar Dr Srinivasa Mayya D, development registrar Dr Ajay Kumar, and Srinivas Hospital medical superintendent Dr David M Rosario were present.

SIMS & RC dean Dr Uday Kumar Rao welcomed the gathering, and senior resident Dr Anitha Sequeira delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Annet D'Souza and Dr Anusha hosted the event.
