Padua Educational institutions organizes Cross Country Race for Green & Clean India

Mangaluru, Oct 27: On the occasion of Silver Jubilee year (25th year) of Padua Pre- university college and Padua Higher Primary English Medium school, Mangaluru, a cross-country marathon event was conducted by Padua Sports Club of Padua Institutions on October 26.

More than 350 students from English Medium Higher Primary, Padua High School, Padua Pre-University College and Padua College of Commerce and Management and alumini students actively participated in the event.

Inaugurating the event, the correspondent of the Padua Institutions Fr Walter D’Souza outlined that the young men and women of the country should shoulder the responsibility for a plastic free and green environment in the country.

Srikant Amin, Newman Mendonca and Nirikshith Devadiga, the alumini students were the chief guests of the event. Fr Arun Wilson Lobo, the campus director, the principal of the Padua College of commerce and management, Mariette J Mascarenes, the principal of Padua Pre-university College, Molly D'Souza, the headmistress of the Padua Higher Primary English Medium school guided the programme.

The event co-ordinators, Hariprasad, the physical director of Padua College of Commerce and Management, Jagadeesh, the physical director of Padua Pre-University College, Praveen Rai Kukkavalli, lecturer for Kannada, Yathiraj, lecturer for commerce of Padua Pre-University college were present.

Teaching and non-teaching staff, students of the Padua Institutions, NSS volunteers, police constables of Kadri, Kankanady and Kavoor police stations lent their support to the event.

Roshan Santhomayor, the vice- principal compered the event.
