Mangaluru: NCC unit organizes cadet interaction programme at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Oct 21: National Cadet Corps (NCC) Unit of St Agnes College (Autonomous), organized cadet interaction programme on October 19. The resource person for the programme was Dr Therese Pereira, associate professor, HOD, department of commerce at Govt First Grade College, Kavoor.

The event commenced through lighting of the lamp by the resource speaker. Her address was motivating and inspiring. She spoke about the importance of discipline, dedication, and teamwork in both academic and personal growth. Her insights and experiences greatly inspired the cadets.

The programme proceeded by announcing the winners of the various competitions which was held in the month of October 2024 like cooking without fire, story writing and Rangoli competition. Dr Therese Pereira, Flg Offr Dr Hithakshi and Capt Gayathri B K distributed certificates to the winners of these competitions. Following the formal ceremony, a video was played, highlighting the cadets' dedication, teamwork, and commitment towards their service to the nation, which received applauds from all present.

The event also featured interactions between senior and junior cadets. Former cadets under officer Aparna Bharadhwaj and senior under officer Neema Chowdary, shared their experiences and storiesof their NCC journey, which offered valuable insights and advice to the cadets. This session fostered a sense of unity and connection among the cadets, allowing the junior cadets to learn from their seniors' experience.

The program concluded with thecultural programme by the cadets marking the successful and joyous conclusion of the cadet interaction programme. Around 90 cadets participated in this programme. This event brought the cadets together, emphasizing the values of teamwork, leadership, and camaraderie while celebrating the spirit of NCC.
