Mangaluru: St Agnes College organizes guest talk on 'Navigate your first internship'

Mangaluru, Oct 21: St Agnes College's department of secretarial practice organised a guest talk on ‘Navigate your first internship’ for the secretarial practice students on October 19. Shrinidhi Shanker, CEO, Cherry Learn and Sajna, HR lead, social impact partner, Cherry Learn, Mangaluru, were the resource persons of the day.

Cherri Learn a social impact-driven ED-tech platform that focuses on providing grass root education to tier-3 and tier-4 villages. The session began with an introduction to Cherri Learn, highlighting how Cherry Learn contributes towards the mission of education to regional villages and trying to reach out the marginalised community.

He continued saying that currently, 1 lac students are been using the Cherri Learn platform, which has received excellent feedback and high ratings from its users. The resource person, Shrinidhi Shanker brought out the importance of school outreach programmes that the company regularly conducts to bridge the educational gap in rural areas.

The resource persons strongly encouraged students to consider internship opportunities with Cherri Learn that gives better opportunities for students to visit the government schools and engage the school students and their parents to educate them on how to use the Cherri Learn platform.

An animated video showcasing a Cherri Learn lesson was presented during the session and of its interactive content that is made available to the learner. The students were also assured of providing mentorship facility before their fieldwork and will be prepared them in advance for their internship. 35 of the students benefited from the programme.

Shivani welcomed the gathering, Yashaswini led the group in prayer and Devishree proposed the vote of thanks.
