Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) to host 14th annual convocation on Oct 19

Mangaluru, Oct 17: The 14th annual convocation of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) will be held on Saturday, October 19, at 10 am at the Yendurance Zone, University Campus Deralakatte-Mangaluru.

During the ceremony, 2632 candidates will receive post-doctoral fellowships, postgraduate degrees, postgraduate diplomas, and undergraduate degrees across various faculties, including dentistry, medicine, nursing, allied health & basic sciences, commerce & management, science, pharmacy, and arts & social sciences. Additionally, 25 candidates will be awarded PhDs, and 10 gold medals will be presented to the top performers in various undergraduate programmes.

The event will be graced by Amitabh Kant, India's G20 Sherpa and Former CEO of NITI Aayog, as the chief guest, who will deliver the convocation address.

Dr Taslimarif Saiyed, director & CEO of the centre for Cellular & Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), Bangalore, will join as the guest of honour.

Dr M Vijayakumar, vice chancellor of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), will present the annual report, and Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor of the University, will preside over the ceremony.

The convocation will also witness the presence of statutory officers, deans, center heads, and faculty from constituent units, and members of the Academic Council and board of management.
