Mangaluru: Athena Institute of Health Sciences' girls hostel inaugurated

Mangaluru, Oct 17: The news girls hostel of Athena College of Nursing was inaugurated in the presence of the esteemed dignitaries on October 16. 

The inaugural ceremony began with the prayer and blessing lead by Rev Prabhuraj, presbyter in charge Shanthi Cathedral Mangaluru) and Rev Goldin Bangera associate presbyter Shanthi Cathedral Mangaluru. R S Shettian chairman Athena Institute of Health Sciences, secretary Asha Shettian, and trustee Dr Ashith Shettian inaugurated the new hostel building.

Dr Nandini principal Athena Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Sr Deepa Peter principal Athena Institute of Health Sciences, Sunitha Lobo vice principal Athena College of Nursing and other guests graced the occasion.

All the faculty members of Athena Institute of Health Sciences, non-teaching staffs and student representatives were present. It was also a special occasion as the chairman R S Shettian's birthday was celebrated along with Asha Shettian, who shared their joy amongst the gathering. Rev Prabhuraj and Rev Goldin Bangera delivered their valuable message wishing words of wisdom and goodwill.

All the staffs and students also gave their wishes. Nevil D’Souza, architecture and engineer was felicitated on the occasion. A thankfull note was delivered by Viola D’Souza, assistant lecturer, Athena College of Nursing.

The programme was compered by Priyanka D’Souza, lecturer Athena College of Nursing. Refreshments were served to all.
