Beltangady: Anugraha Institutions celebrate 78th Independence Day

Beltangady, Aug 15: Anugraha Educational Institutions Ujire celebrated 78th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and zeal.

The chief guest Nelson Monis, assistant professor, Sacred Heart college Madanthyar accompanied by the principal and the correspondent and the dignitaries unfurled the tricolour flag followed by the National Anthem. This entailed a short celebration with a cultural programme by the students.

The chief guest Nelson Monis, speaking on the occasion, he encouraged the students to develop patriotism. He also expressed his concern towards the areas, where India must improve.

There was a display of patriotic programs by the students. PPC vice president Antony Fernandes. Secretary Ligori Vas. PTA vice president Umesh Shetty, panchayat members Anil D’Souza, Praveen D’Souza, management committee members Anitha Monis, Stany Pinto, parents and parishioners witnessed the grand celebration. Irene Rodrigues, compered the formal programme. Sharon D’Souza of X std and Kavya of X std hosted the cultural programme.
