Mangaluru: Ladyhill Victoria PU College celebrates Bakrid

Mangaluru, Jun 24: On the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha, the students of II PUC Commerce under the guidance of their class mentor Rithin Joyline D Almieda, put up a short programme on June 15 in the college auditorium. Arshiya S Banu, Alumni of Ladyhill Victoria Composite PU College presided over as the chief guest for the day, accompanied by the college principal Sr Grace Maizy Miranda AC.

The programme began by invoking the blessings from the Almighty, led by II commerce group. Lakshmi from II commerce welcomed the gathering. Students also displayed sufiana music through a Qawwali. Significance of Bakrid was presented symbolically through the enactment of a skit based on sacrifice and sharing. The students also entertained the entire audience with their astonishing dance performance on the theme.

The guest Arshiya S Banu uplifted the importance of sacrifice and sharing among each other. She also emphasized on peace, happiness and prosperity. She motivated the students to be financially independent by taking up a career and always be thankful to their parents and hard work they do.

Nuha Haleema compered the programme. Ayesha Zulfa proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was witnessed by the lecturers and the students in attendance.
