Udupi: Parents-teachers meeting held at Christ School

Udupi, Jun 18: A Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting was held at Christ school on June 15.

Dr Rayan Mathias, expert in child psychology and media studies, resource person gave an insightful address and highlighted key points of ‘Influence of Mass Media’ on Children, The impact of various forms of mass media, including television, internet, and social media, on children’s behaviour and thought processes, the positive and negative effects of media exposure. Responsibilities of Parents in monitoring and regulating their children’s media consumption. Encouraging healthy media habits and setting appropriate boundaries. The resource person’s address was highly engaging and included practical tips and real-life examples, making it very relatable for the parents.

Fr Romeo Lewis, Correspondent, addressed the parents and highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between parents and the school to enhance the educational experience of our children.

Eliza Vaz, principal, gave instructions and guidelines to the parents.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss the influence of mass media on children and the responsibilities of parents in their upbringing.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the Eliza Vaz, principal, who appreciated the Dr Rayan Mathias, resource person valuable insights and the active participation of parents and teachers.

The meeting fostered a deeper understanding of the influence of mass media on children and strengthened the partnership between parents and educators in the upbringing of the students.

The programme was compered by Asha Shetty.
