Puttur, Jun 14: The Postgraduate Studies and Research Centre of St Philomena College, Puttur, in collaboration with the grama panchayat, Ariadka, organised a “Science Wonder” programme at D K G P Model Advanced Government Primary School, Kavu, on Wednesday this week.
The event was presided over by Hemanath Shetty, correspondent of Ramakrishna High School, Puttur, who also has adopted D.K.G.P. Model Advanced Government Primary School, Kavu.
Esteemed guests included K K Ibrahim Haji, treasurer of Lion Club Puttur, Prathima, head mistress of D.K.G.P. Model Upgraded Government Primary School, Kavu, Pratibha K , asst professor from the PG Department of Social Work, and Sujith, asst professor from the Post Graduate Department of Physics, St Philomena College, Puttur.
In his address, Hemanath Shetty encouraged the school students to take full advantage of the science model exhibition prepared by the postgraduate physics department students. He praised the organisation of such programmes, highlighting their importance in fostering a scientific mindset among students. Prathima and Shri Ibrahim Haji also lauded the programme, organisation and its benefits.
The event began with a prayer by the school students. Pratibha K welcomed the gathering, while Nakul extended the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Jayashree. The Physics department students executed the “Science Wonder” programme with various engaging activities. The social work department students, faculty, school students, teachers, and staff participated enthusiastically, making the event a grand success.
