Mangaluru: MSNIM organises Rotary Biz Quiz 2024

Mangaluru, Jun 13: The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), in association with the Rotary Club of Mangaluru North, organized the ‘MSNIM-Rotary Biz Quiz 2024’ on June 11, at the institute campus in Bondel, Mangaluru. Students from 17-degree colleges in and around the Dakshina Kannada district participated in the business quiz.

St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, emerged as the winners of the quiz, with Vivekananda College, Puttur, taking second place and St Philomena College, Puttur, securing third place. Sachin R Chandra, assistant professor in the department of commerce at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, served as the quizmaster.

Dr Alwyn D’Sa, registrar of St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, and Rotary District bulletin editor, along with Mohan Nair, president-elect of the Rotary Club of Mangaluru North, were the guests of honour for the prize distribution ceremony.

P Suresh Pai, vice president of Women's National Education Society (WNES), presided over the function. Prof Rajshekar Hebbar, administrative officer at WNES, and Dr Molly S Chaudhuri, director of MSNIM, were also present.

In his address, Dr Alwyn D’Sa praised the legacy of Besant Institutions in providing education and empowering women, urging students to seize opportunities to enhance their knowledge at MSNIM. In his presidential address, Suresh Pai encouraged students to utilize the institution's resources to advance their careers.

Assistant professor Sathvika Shetty welcomed the gathering and provided an overview of the event. Assistant professor Suresh Shenoy, faculty coordinator of the quiz, presented a report on the quiz. Assistant professor Sanath Bhandarkar delivered the vote of thanks, and assistant professor Nanditha Sunil anchored the programme.
