Mangaluru, Apr 24: Dr Rameela Shekhar, a mental health professional and trainer at Manashanti Counselling Research and Training Centre, led an interactive session titled ‘Better Me’ on personality development for 9th-grade students at St Agnes School CBSE on April 2. The session began with a prayer song for divine blessings, followed by a warm welcome and introduction of the speaker by teacher Neesha.
Dr Rameela Shekhar started the session with an icebreaker activity, encouraging students to reflect on the question 'Who am I?' and share their thoughts. Engaging discussions prompted students to openly talk about their experiences and difficulties. She highlighted techniques for improving personality traits like self-image, self-respect, and self-esteem, including personal evaluation exercises to encourage introspection and self-awareness.
To wrap up the session, participants were encouraged to think about implementing the newfound knowledge in their daily lives and future endeavours. Teacher Janet expressed gratitude with a vote of thanks to Dr Rameela Shekhar for delivering an insightful and valuable session.
The echoes of shared experiences and valuable insights would continue to reverberate at St Agnes School CBSE, inspiring a generation of individuals to embrace personal growth and development with open hearts and eager minds.
