Karkala, Mar 25: Live way of the cross was held in St Lawrence Minor Basilica, Attur on Sunday, March 24.

The way of the cross began from the church premise and continued till Parpale hill. Fr Rahul D’Souza, assistant parish priest of Infant Jesus Church, Bantwal conducted the way of the cross.

"We must carry our cross in our lives and move forward," he said in his discourse.

Many artistes from the Karkala deanery participated in the way of the cross.

Deepak D'Mello played the role of Lord Jesus. The scenes of Jesus being tortured on the way to the cross made the devotees cry.

The rector of the basilica, Fr Alban D'Souza, assistant parish priest Fr Larry Pinto, spiritual director Fr Roman Mascarenhas and a large number of devotees attended.

Santosh D'Silva, vice president, Parish Pastoral Committee; Ronald Noronha, secretary; Vandish Mathias, Roshan Sales, Joel Attur, members of ICYM Attur and others were present on the occasion.
