Mangaluru, Nov 27: The Silver Jubilee celebration of Nityadhar English Medium School in Nityadharnagar, Babukkatte, was marked with a grand event on November 26. The celebrations were inaugurated by Mangaluru bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha.
Speaking on the occasion, the bishop said, "Students educated in an institution named after a great mother figure like Nityadhar will be virtuous and principled individuals. The school fosters values of equality, independence, and unity, aligning with the ideals of the Constitution. Known as a 'Kashi of Knowledge,' this institution has brought glory to the region, which is now recognized as Nityadharnagar. Alongside academic knowledge, communication skills and personal growth are equally important."
Chief guest and legislative assembly speaker U T Khader praised the school for its commitment to quality education. He urged the management to introduce pre-university education at the earliest. “This institution not only nurtures students as valuable assets to society but also empowers them to overcome challenges and live dignified lives. Education is the tool to eradicate poverty and instill confidence in parents,” he said. He encouraged students to develop strong character, face problems with courage, and adopt a compassionate outlook. "Take children to hospitals to witness the challenges faced by patients and learn empathy, instead of frequenting malls," he advised.
