Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School organizes Kindergarten Convocation Day

Mangaluru, Mar 15: The air was filled with excitement and anticipation of achievement, as parents, teachers, and students gathered at Lourdes Central School on March 14 at Bejai Church Hall to celebrate the milestone of kindergarten graduation and to honour the young KG graduates of LCS and their accomplishments. The event marked a significant milestone in the lives of the little ones as they bid farewell to their first academic phase and embarked on the journey of formal education.

The event commenced with beaming kindergarteners dressed in miniature caps and academic dress, capturing the essence of the traditional graduation experience. Proud parents, guardians and teachers filled the auditorium, their applause echoing the collective pride felt for the accomplished little ones.

The ceremony was adorned with a prayer hymn by KG 1 students, to invoke the blessings and thank Lord Almighty for this auspicious day. KG II students welcomed the chief guest, teachers, parents, guardians, students and all well-wishers present in the event.

The esteemed chief guest of the event was renowned profession, Dr Mranali K Shetty - Manipal college of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru, accompanied by Dr J B Saldanha- manager LCS, principal Fr Robert D’Souza, vice principal Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Thomas, and KG co-ordinator Lydia D’Souza.

The KG co-ordinator Lydia D Souza introduced the chief guest to the gathering and later she was felicitated all the dignitaries on the dais.

Dr Mranali K Shetty, in her address, emphasised the importance of relationships between parents and educational institution to foster a positive environment for child’s growth. She advised parents to actively involved in school activities and initiatives to enable the child to demonstrate importance of education and lifelong learning.

Dr J B Saldanha, addressing the audience, remarked that this year’s graduation ceremony is very special from as these accords with marking of silver jubilee year of LCS. She emphasized on spending quality time with kids and highlighted parents’ fundamental role in strengthening their child’s education and overall growth.

As the ceremony drew to a close, each graduate was called to the dais to receive their mementos and certificate from chief guest, accompanied by cheers and applause from their families and friends. It was a moment of immense pride and joy.

On behalf of student community Muhammad Yahya, Thriti P Shetty, Rithanya N Kotian of KG II shared their experience of their kindergarten journey. On behalf of the parents Dr Veena J Pinto, Dr Anjali Shetty and Sujay Royston Pais shared their experience.

The programme featured a delightful blend of recitals, heart-warming singing performances and a dance drama by KG 1and KG II students showcasing the talents, creativity, and progress of the little charms.

Fr principal had all appreciation for KG staff and students for putting up such a wonderful show.

The lovely and delightful event concludes with the national anthem.

As the young graduates bid farewell to kindergarten and embarked on new adventures, they carried with them cherished memories and valuable lessons learned during their time at LCS.
