Udupi, Feb 16: The students of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal bagged first,third and fifth prizes with cash prize of Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 respectively in the zonal level project competition “Anveshana-2024” held at SDM College of Engineering, Dharwad on February 13 and 14. They have also qualified for the final round of Anveshana-2024 to be held on February 27, 28 and 29 at Bengaluru.
A project titled “Agritech-A Precision Crop Pulse” developed by Dhanush Shastry, Ajay Rao along with high school students Nagaraj and Ayush Shetty of K P S High School, Hiriyadka under the guidance of Nagaraja Rao, associate professor of ECE Department, bagged the first prize. A project titled “Epitect” developed by Pooja, Vikram along with high school students Manvith and Harish from S V H High School, Innanje under the guidance of Raghavendra G S, assistant professor in CSE Department. bagged third prize. A project titled “Trash Tracker” developed by Nishitha, Panchami, along with high school students namely Vishwa and Ashlesh from GHS Volkadu under the guidance of Dr Sadanand, associate professor, Department of CSE, bagged the fifth prize and a project titled “Shrefood C” developed by Bhushan, Anusha along with Siddiraja and Shrivara from Shri MadBhuvanendra High School Karkala won the consolation prize.
Anveshana-2024 is a science and engineering fair which is jointly organized by Agastya International Foundation Bengaluru, Synopsys and the Department of School education & Literacy. A total of 45 teams from various parts of the state exhibited their models. The management, principal, faculty and staff congratulated all the winners and appreciated the all the students.
