Mangaluru, Jan 25: The spirit of Pambada's divine cultural heritage was expressed clearly at a grand event held at Townhall recently by the Pambadar Abhyudaya Yuva Seva Trust and supported by the Pambada Daivadiyara Samaja Sangha. The programme, titled ‘Pambaderena Samavesha Siri Mudi’, sought to educate the next generation about the origins of the rich tradition that is linked to the study of Hambadara.

Speaking at the event, U T Khader, speaker of the state legislative assembly, emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts to preserve and pass on cultural heritage. "Even without formal education, the preservation of the Tulu language and the divine culture of Tulu Nadu requires genuine community participation. The development of Tulu language and culture in the absence of a script shows the community's significant contribution,” said Khadar.

Eminent personalities attended, including Sri Esha Vithaladasa Swamiji of Kamaduru Santhipani Math, who given his blessings on this occasion. Durgadas Shetty Mavanooru, president of the Tuluva Bollaya Prathisthana, presided over the event. Notable attendees included MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kamala Devi, Archaka of Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple, Krishna Raj Tantri, priest of Anantha Padmanabha Kshetra, mayor Sudhir Shetty, Prakash P S, national volunteer of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Guttuuda Bhaskar Shetty, president of Kambala Samiti, and Tara Nath, honorary president of Abbakka Utsava Samiti.

The event concluded with an insightful speech by Dayanand Kattalsar, former president of Tulu Academy, who expressed on the importance of preserving cultural heritage in the modern age.
