Mangaluru, Nov 25: On behalf of St Agnes Pre university college and Agnesian Alumni Association, a career guidance programme was organized for the second PU Commerce students along with their parents on Saturday, November 25. The programme began by invoking the blessings of the almighty.
Sr Dr Venessa, principal, St Agnes College (Autonomous) and president of Agnesian Alumni Association welcomed the gathering.
Marjorie Aranha Texeira, a proud alumna of St Agnes Institution and presently, the vice president of Agnesian Alumni Association was the moderator of the programme.
Prof Gerard D'Souza, an educationist, soft skill trainer and a mentor at St Agnes MBA College, Mangaluru delved into the realm of management studies, furnishing details on diverse Indian universities that offer MBA programmes.
Author Patrick R Braggs, a mechanical engineer by profession and a career consultant emphasised effective strategies for successfully navigating UPSC exams, offering valuable perspectives into the key approaches for success.
Sharika Rai, a faculty at SDM Law College, Mangaluru discussed the optional career paths within the field of law.
CA Daphny D'Souza, an alumna of St Agnes PU College and currently practicing as chartered accountant at Mangaluru on indirect taxes provided insights into the CA Foundation and ACCA courses, shedding light on their respective merits and opportunities.
Parents and students put forward their queries, sought clarification on optional career paths through a series of questions. Both students and parents were highly motivated and were well informed about the array of available courses.
Susan Neeliyara, the College commerce secretary extended gratitude by proposing vote of thanks, while Hariet Moras, department of commerce skillfully compered the programme.
